Human Trafficking & Patterns of Behavior: Combating Modern-Day Slavery

by Lauralee Dhabhar, on Sep 11, 2020 10:23:29 AM

Human trafficking is a global issue affecting victims of all ages, most often those who come from marginalized and high-risk backgrounds. Current estimates indicate that 24.9 million victims are trapped in modern-day slavery*. Even as law enforcement agencies make arrests and dismantle trafficking rings, new actors step in to fill the demand.

On September 10th, Giant Oak invited guest speakers Dr. Jordan Greenbaum of the International Center for Missing and Exploited Children and Michael Fullilove of DeliverFund to join us for a webinar on the topic of human trafficking. Listen to the full recording below for a glimpse into the world of those in the trenches. Our panelist shared their insights and expertise on everything from how children are targeted to what kinds of technologies are currently being implemented in anti-trafficking operations.
