Giant Oak Opens New, Expanded Headquarters in Arlington

Arlington, Va. – (POTOMAC TECH WIRE Three months after landing $10 million in funding, Giant Oak, a developer of data analytics software, said has opened new, expanded headquarters in Arlington. The company said the new offices will support its growing team, as well as a plethora of recent contract wins in the government and financial industry and continuing research and development efforts. “We needed a dynamic space to accommodate our highly competent team and support our expanding customer base,” said founder and CEO Gary Shiffman. “Our new HQ will serve as a hub to continue providing cutting-edge technology to our federal and financial sector customers, and as an incubator for new and responsible ways to combine data and behavioral science to help identify bad actors.” The company initially developed its core search platform, Giant Oak Search Technology (GOST), to help national security and law enforcement clients screen the open, deep and dark web to identify human trafficking, terrorist activities and other security threats. Its capabilities have since expanded into the commercial sector, helping clients such as financial institutions meet compliance requirements and manage reputational, regulatory, financial and crime risk.
