Giant Oak CEO Dr. Gary Shiffman is speaking at the GDS Financial Services Technology Summit on the promises and limitations of artificial intelligence for the future of banking.
We hear the terms Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence used a lot these days, with the implied expectation that (a) we know the meaning of the terms and (b) that we understand how to apply these technologies to our roles in banking. But these concepts probably get overused, and therefore provide more confusion than help. Behavioral economist, Dr. Gary M. Shiffman, Founder and CEO of RegTech software company Giant Oak, and Georgetown University professor, will provide definitions of key terms in the latest generations of technology. He will then place these technologies into the context of human cognition. Well-known for his lectures across the financial and national security industries, Dr. Shiffman will provide concrete examples of how Machine Learning in banks can make us all safer.
